The Mobile World Congress, which brought 93,000 people to Barcelona, more than doubled the demand for the VIP services offered by Premium Traveller, the brand that manages such services at Barcelona Airport.

Occupancy levels for AIR ROOMS, guest rooms located inside the Airport, reached 100% from 2 to 4 March, at an average price of 320€. Likewise, VIP parking bookings saw a 40% increase, since the mobile brands attending the congress reserved parking spaces in advance for their guests and executives.

As regards the number of passengers using the four VIP Lounges in both terminals at Barcelona Airport, the figure more than tripled, rising from 1,500 a day to more than 4,900 on the last day of the Congress. Premium Traveller therefore increased the number of VIP Lounges available by opening a new lounge catering for Schengen-bound passengers. Similarly, the AIR WELLNESS spa located opposite the lounges saw a fourfold increase in demand for its services.

In addition, our exclusive FAST PASS service registered 50 reservations for personalised assistance, enabling passengers to avoid queues and delays in luggage check-in and security clearance, while also giving them access to an exclusive VIP Lounge, along with minivan transfer directly to the plane.
